Jeremy Danson
Managing Director
Jeremy set up Woodwork Machinery Services in 2009, having worked as an agricultural engineer which gave him experience in a wide range of skills. In 1999 he joined Pemdor Crosby as a maintenance engineer, working on various plant in the production of timber and composite doors; picking up a wealth of experience working with 3 phase power and control circuits whilst managing a maintenance team. He next joined SCM Group (UK) Limited as a service engineer, specialising in “solid wood” machinery and Window lines. SCM was a great company to work for, but working away from home a lot led him to set up WMS; establishing it as a limited company in 2016.
In his spare time Jeremy is actively involved in the management of Stogumber Cricket Club, his local ground. He also enjoys clay pigeon shooting and spending time during the shooting season with his working spaniels. Not one to turn down a challenge, Jeremy has also taken part in various cycling challenges for charity. -
Taylor Buller
Service Manager
Taylor has worked as an engineer for WMS since 2017, having previously done an apprenticeship in Maintenance Engineering at Cricketer Farm, Nether Stowey.
Taylor is qualified with a Level 3 BTEC in Engineering Operations and Maintenance at Bridgwater College and completed factory training for SCM machines at its campus in Rimini, Italy.
Taylor is responsible for helping to maintain the strong customer relations in the company, and is adaptable working individually or as part of a team. He is excited about the expansion of the company and helping WMS to develop and grow over the coming years. As of February 2022, Taylor took on the day to day running of WMS from our Office and Showroom in Fiddington, allowing Jeremy to do what he loves and go back out on the road full time as an engineer. This occupies most of Taylors working time as he balances all aspects of the business, but he does manage to get out on the tools occasionally to either Breakdowns or Machine Installations.
Away from WMS, Taylor can be found on the sports field playing Rugby, Football, Hockey and Cricket or at home with his son Stanley and wife Fenella, who also joined the WMS team in June last year. -
Chris Kearn
Service Engineer
Chris joined Woodwork Machinery Services in summer 2020, having worked for the previous six years as an engineer for Stenner, building and installing machines for the Devon-based company.
Chris brings extensive knowledge of the Stenner product range, together with a strong engineering background, having studied for an NVQ3 at Bicton College as an agricultural field service engineer.
In his spare time Chris enjoys being involved with the Carnival Club and has a passion for engaging his general engineering skills in hobbies and creative crafts. -
Jonathan Whitlock
Service Engineer
Jonathan joined the WMS team in January 2022, having spent many years in the motor supply and repair industry, Jonathan decided that he wanted to get back on the tools and and apply his engineering skills and knowledge in a different sector of the engineering industry.
Jonathan has an eye for detail and is the first port of call for our customers when we have motor and brake faults. Jon is looking forward to going to Rimini in Italy to carry out some SCM Manufacturer training which will further develop his knowledge of joinery machinery.
Jonathan is a keen surfer and when the weather is fair he enjoys trips to the cost with his boys to catch a few waves. When Jon isn't surfing he can be found watching his boys perform on the rugby pitch or watching either Bristol Bears or Taunton Titans. -
Stewart Norman
Technical Sales Manager
Stewart Joined WMS in January 2023, having previously worked in varying sectors of the woodwork industry. Stewart joined the team as Technical Sales Manager and will drive forward machine sales as well as handling all tooling enquiries.
Stewart trained in both Joinery and Engineering in his younger years and has a vast amount of knowledge in the woodwork sector as a whole, with contacts all over Europe. Stewart is well known to many of our customers having spent years travelling up and down the country in previous employment, a familiar face for our customer to talk to.
Stewart played rugby for Wiveliscombe, the second oldest rugby club in Somerset and on occasions can still be found lacing up his boots now. Stewart is an old school rugby man and when he isn't on the pitch playing he normally isn't fair away, either working behind the bar in the clubhouse with his partner or with the whistle in his hand refereeing.
